Warzone Season 5 Reloaded dropped on August 30, bringing a number of changes to DMZ alongside battle royale modes and MW2 multiplayer. Here’s all the changes, detailed and explained.

DMZ Season 5 Reloaded Patch Notes

Thanks to Activision’s update Content Drop, we already knew the majority of the content that came with Season 5 Reloaded. Naturally, the full patch notes are more detailed and give an exhaustive view of everything.

Season 5 was a major change for DMZ, bringing a new threat in the form of the Konni Group. It also brought the new Shadow Company Faction, which offered two tiers of missions for players to rank up and progress.

That, alongside a few other things, is set for change with S5R. Below is every change, confirmed in the official patch notes and explained by us.

New Shadow Company Faction Missions

There were only two tiers in the Shadow Company Faction when it dropped with Season 5. Season 5 Reloaded brought 3 new tiers of missions, taking its total up to five and in line with the other DMZ Factions.

We expect the missions to align with other Factions and get progressively more difficult. Tiers 3, 4, and 5 are typically the most challenging, asking players to complete multiple objectives that are increasingly tough.

Communications Station Upgrades

Alongside the Urgent Missions section, which remains active as normal in S5R, “permanent benefits” can be unlocked by completing Communication Station upgrade tasks.

These will likely involve capturing and defending objectives in an Exclusion Zone, with the devs specifically pointing to lengthening the duration of UAV Towers and SAM Sites. Naturally, these tend to be heavily defended, so tread carefully.

There weren’t further details on this in the patch notes, so it’s a case of dropping in and piecing this together.

‘Host Leave Game’ Feature

Unfortunately, the ‘Host Leave Party’ option that was revealed in the S5R overview won’t make the update.

Activision said: “Although it was mentioned in the Season 05 Reloaded Announcement Blog, the Host Leave Party feature will not be introduced in Season 05 Reloaded.”

Weapon Balancing

These aren’t DMZ specific but a huge number of weapon buffs, nerfs and tweaks dropped. Naturally, these changes will affect the performance of guns in DMZ, meaning there might be new standouts for your loadouts.

Bug Fixes

A huge number of bug fixes were implemented with Season 5 Reloaded, including a long awaited issue surrounding the Quid Pro Quo Mission. Here they are:
