There were a huge number of weapon changes with the Season 5 Reloaded patch, a lot of which affected assault rifles. As a result, players want to know what’s in and what’s out. Here are the top five ARs in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, ranked.
Season 5 Reloaded’s weapon changes were broader than we anticipated, targeting many weapons and hitting them with buffs and nerfs. The Chimera, FR Avancer, M13B and Lachmann 556 were all buffed. The ISO Hemlock, on the other hand, received a nerf.
We’ve taken the changes into consideration and believe the five below are the strongest in Warzone right now.
5) FR Avancer
For the first time since its implementation, the FR Avancer makes the cut thanks to the buffs it received with S5R. Its close-range and long-range damage outputs were buffed, ensuring it kills faster across the board.
Recoil is still a problem, but accurate firing ensures it’s one of the most devastating ARs in the BR right now. Make sure you bring extended mags, though:

- Muzzle: Corvus Slash Gen. 2
- Stock: FR Sprinter
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
4) Chimera
The Chimera is a fast firing AR, snappier than most in its category. Naturally, its downsides are in the recoil and range departments, with it more difficult to control than a lot of its counterparts.
Another buff with Season 5’s mid-season update means it’s up to fourth. We’re still focusing on improving its medium range performance and accuracy with our chosen attachments:

- Barrel: 6.5″ EXF OP-40
- Rear Grip: D37 Grip
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
3) Tempus Razorback
The Tempus Razorback AR has been on a gradual increase in Season 5 as players learn to love its fast fire-rate, solid handling and decent range. A damage buff with S5R has only strengthened its grip on the bronze medal position.
It does bounce slightly more than some other weapons and, as a result, struggles to stay ultra viable at longer distances. It also goes to explain why our chosen attachments make it a lot easier to use, ensuring you can hit your shots and drop enemies rapidly:

2) Kastov 762
Once our favorite AR in all of Warzone, the Kastov 762 fell in viability and popularity as its recoil increased and its headshot damage decreased. However, its comeback to second place has been based on incredible damage and excellent range, meaning it’s only real weakness is recoil.
That’s why our attachments are geared towards stabilization and accuracy. It’s damage, range and handling are strong enough on their own. With these attachments, you’ll be the favorite in almost every gunfight you enter:
- Muzzle: Eight-Point Flash Hider

- Optic: Aim OP-V4

1) M13B
The M13B has improved gradually since it was added back in Season One. It’s now one of the best assault rifles in the game thanks to buffed damage and range. It was augmented even further with Season 5, seeing its headshot lethality increased. Season 5 Reloaded then buffed its damage multipliers, giving us little choice but to bump it up to top spot.
When combined with its incredible fire-rate, the result is an assault rifle that’s pretty much unmatched at closer ranges. It does struggle at longer ranges because of damage drop off and kick, so we’re aiming to improve its accuracy and range with our attachments:
